Common Questions
How do I know if therapy is right for me right now?
It’s completely normal to feel unsure about starting. Therapy is a brave step toward honoring your needs. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or simply curious about exploring your story through a feminist and trauma-informed lens, we can start exactly where you are. There’s no 'perfect' time to begin healing.
What are your fees, and do you take insurance?
I operate as a private-pay practice to ensure your care remains truly collaborative and confidential, without insurance restrictions. My fees reflect specialized training in art therapy and trauma-informed somatic work. I can provide monthly superbills for potential out-of-network reimbursement, and I am happy to discuss sliding scale options based on financial need and intersectional equity.
How do online sessions work across different regions?
I offer virtual therapy and art therapy using a HIPAA-compliant platform that prioritizes your privacy. Whether you are in Texas or elsewhere worldwide where my licensure (LPC, ATR-BC) permits, we can connect. Digital sessions are inclusive and flexible, allowing you to engage in healing from the comfort of a space where you feel most secure.
What should I do if I’m in crisis or need immediate help?
Our scheduled sessions are a safe space for deep work, but I am not an emergency service. If you are experiencing a crisis, please reach out to the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (call or text 988) or go to your nearest emergency room. You are not alone, and your safety is the absolute priority.
