FAQ
Your Questions about online art therapy for trauma, Answered with Care
Exploring therapy is a courageous step. This space is designed to reduce the unknown, offering clarity and transparency about how we can work together to honor your healing journey.
01. General Therapy & Art Therapy
What exactly is feminist therapy?
Feminist therapy isn't just for women. It's a trauma-informed approach that looks at how power, social identities, and systems of oppression impact your mental health. We work to reclaim your voice and autonomy within those systems.
Do I need to be 'good' at art for art therapy?
Not at all. There is no 'good' or 'bad' here. Art therapy is about the process of making and the language of symbols, not the final product. It helps externalize feelings that are hard to put into words.
How long does therapy take?
Therapy is highly individual. Some clients notice relief or clarity in just a few sessions, while others engage in months or years of work to address complex trauma and long-standing patterns. Together, we’ll set goals, track progress, and adjust approaches so your therapy fits your pace and needs.
What is holistic therapy, and what does it mean for me?
Holistic therapy considers the whole person—mind, body, and spirit. This means we focus not just on symptoms, but also on your physical sensations, emotional experiences, creative expression, and the ways your environment and culture affect your mental health. Holistic approaches help you develop tools to cope, process trauma, and reconnect with your authentic self.
